Hi my name is Max and I’m a realtor with Keller Williams Realty in Miami Beach, FL. How did I come to sell Rome real estate from the U.S.? I have been a Real Estate agent since 1985 and I started my my career in Rome, Italy - where I was born and raised. I know Rome real estate like the back of my hand, inside and out, because I used to own my own realty firm in the center of Rome for 10 years, before I ever moved to the U.S. and became a realtor here. I am a licensed real estate broker in Rome and a licensed broker in Florida, Miami. I have 25 years of experience between both markets and I know the real estate process in both countries. And since Rome is my hometown, I travel there every year with my family. In fact, on a recent trip there, one night in front of the Pantheon, drinking a glass of red Chianti wine my wife (who is from Virginia Beach, Virginia), she suggested that I sell Rome’s Real Estate to Americans. I thought about what she said, and I had to admit she had a good idea!

1. HOW TO LOOK, SEE, AND LEARN ABOUT ROME AND ITS NEIGHBORHOODS

I will take you, via private car service, on a tour of the city to show you the different areas and point out what makes each unique. And within each of those areas, we will visit properties that are currently available. Tours usually take place in the afternoon, so you are able to enjoy your vacation at your leisure in the morning until we pick you up at 3:00. 

  • ACCOMMODATIONS IN YOUR AREA

I reserve an apartment for you in the area of your choice, so that you get to know Rome as if you were already living there. You’ll get to know your neighborhood as a local does, with my help of course, not as a tourist. I have apartments available for rent that can accommodate anywhere from 2 - 8 people. And if you’d like to stay in more than one area, that’s possible too. In addition, we pick you up and drop you off at the airport!

  • GUIDED WALKING TOURS

Native Italians, fluent in English, can walk you through the City to the most well known sights to the most hidden Roman treasures; take you to the best places to eat or just give you recommendations; tell you what events are going on and get you tickets, in advance prior to departure, or during your stay.

2. HOW TO BUY THE PROPERTY YOU JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH

  • THE REAL ESTATE PROCESS IN ITALY

Actually, it’s just about the same process as happens here in the U.S. but instead of a Title Company handling the closing, it will be a Notaio. The literal translation of “notaio” is “notary,” but in Italy to become a notaio is a process and a profession similar to that of an attorney in the U.S. They will handle the escrow accounts, title search and closing as well.

If you need any additional services, I have organized a team to meet all of your needs: English speaking attorneys (real estate and tax) and bankers (lenders and brokers) in both Italy and the US specializing in international real estate transactions. I have the utmost professionals capable of handling all of your needs or answering any of your questions.

3. PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IN ROME

  • RENTAL SERVICES

I offer, through my website to market and rent your new property so that you can recover some of the costs of your invest. You can choose to rent your apartment weekly, monthly or yearly. MMG will take care of check-ins, check-outs, cleanings and laundry.

  • PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

My team in Rome will manage your property with the utmost care and inspect your home after each check-out so that security deposits are tallied accordingly. If you are not renting out your home, we will make monthly visits to inspect your home and make sure everything is running properly and that your valuables are safe.

  • DESIGN SERVICES

An American interior designer will work in conjunction with an Italian architect or designer to meet all of your remodeling or furnishing needs. Any budget is welcome.

  • CONCIERGE SERVICES

Your first month of concierge service is complimentary. We will provide you with all of the names and places you’ll need to know: best places to shop or dine, what events are taking place, art exhibitions and openings, as well as babysitting services, names of doctors and pediatricians making house calls or the closest hospitals, parks and recreation. We’ll give you access to our list of Where To and How To in Rome and be available by phone.
